Choosing the right steel grade is the difference between a structure that performs for decades and one that fails early. This short guide covers the families we supply and where each fits.
Carbon steel
The workhorse of construction and manufacturing — strong, weldable and cost-effective. Common in structural sections, pipe and rebar where corrosion exposure is moderate or managed with coatings.
Stainless steel
Grades 304 and 316 resist corrosion without coatings, making them ideal for food, pharmaceutical, marine and chemical environments. 316 adds molybdenum for extra resistance to chlorides and harsh conditions.
Coated steel
Galvanized and pre-painted products combine carbon-steel economy with surface protection — well suited to roofing, cladding and water infrastructure.
